Chris Rock’s Holiday Party Fallout
Chris Rock sparked controversy last weekend when he abruptly ended his performance at billionaire Anthony Pratt’s holiday party. According to Newsweek, the comedian stopped mid-set after noticing something upsetting him in the audience. Rock reportedly went on a rant about his jokes being recorded, which led to him cutting the performance short.
While Rock hasn’t addressed the incident, his brother, Tony Rock, stepped in to defend him. Tony explained to TMZ, “They probably thought that because my brother was performing at a shindig, they were entitled to tape the set. We’re working on material all the time, so if you record it and put it up before the joke is perfected, it’s like a chef giving you a plate of food before it’s finished. You should wait for the finished product.”
Jamie Foxx Shares His Truth
In his new Netflix special, What Had Happened Was, Jamie Foxx finally addressed the mystery illness that had fans worried for months. The actor and comedian revealed he suffered a stroke that led to a brain bleed—a life-threatening condition that left him hospitalized. Foxx expressed gratitude to his medical team, calling himself blessed to be alive.
Foxx also used humor to tackle the wild internet rumors surrounding his health scare. “The internet was trying to kill me, though,” he joked. “The internet said Puffy tried to kill me. I know what you’re thinking, did he? Hell nah, I left those parties early. I was out by 9, something don’t look right… It’s slippery in here!”
Snoop and Dre Serve Up Something New
Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are back at it, but this time they’re not dropping beats—they’re dropping drinks. The duo has launched a new gin called Still Gin, accompanied by an innovative 90-second commercial featuring AI-generated images of music legends Sammy Davis Jr. and Frank Sinatra. Lori Harvey also makes an appearance in the ad, serving up drinks as a bartender.
Adding to the excitement, Snoop and Dre released a pre-mixed cocktail called Gin and Juice—a nod to Snoop’s iconic 1993 hit.
