An Ellwood City concrete and materials supply company was recognized for its 120th anniversary.
Mayor Anthony Court presented a proclamation to Blank Concrete & Supply at 804 Factory Ave. and declared Dec. 11 as “George W. Blank Company Day” in Ellwood City.
“I know I speak for the entire community in wishing the Blank’s continued success, and we’re proud of this outstanding accomplishment,” Court said.

“We appreciate the acknowledgment,” company President David Blank said. “They support local businesses. They’ve been very loyal to us.”
The 11-employee business has operated from Factory Avenue since 1913.
David Blank is the third generation, while his son Jeff, the vice president and operations director, represents the fourth generation.
