This year’s event will, however, see a noticeable increase in attendees from the continent – including from Spain and Portugal – as more destinations recognise the growing importance of international golf tourism.
Elevate Golf 2025 will also welcome several venue’s from outside of Europe for the very first time. Many venues from the Middle East will be in attendance, while the international flavour of the event is further complemented with Caribbean destinations such as Albany Bahamas and Puntacana Resort & Club also in attendance. The growing list of destinations join the established bedrock of suppliers, including all the Open Championship rota courses.
Alex Shattuck, CEO of PerryGolf, commented: “Elevate is a tremendous event. Not only the quality of the content but also the quality of the attendees – it really is the who’s who in the world of golf and travel. We are in the relationship business and the opportunity to meet face-to-face is invaluable.”
Nuno Sepúlveda, Co-CEO of Details Hospitality Sports & Leisure, which manages several renowned golf courses in Portugal, said: “The meetings we have at Elevate are key. Elevate is different from other B2B and trade events with different clientele and for us this helps open up doors to the American and Canadian markets while also learning how the Scottish, Irish and UK market are so successful in this area. Having those meetings at St Andrews is also a wonderful experience.”
Held between October 26-31, Elevate Golf 2025 will begin with a two-night stay in Liverpool with suppliers and tour operators invited to sample the city’s culture and play golf on the wonderful Northwest coast. On arrival in Scotland, connecting on a round of golf at one of seven courses will be an option for attendees – golf will be available at Carnoustie Golf Links, Dumbarnie, North Berwick, Gullane, Royal Troon, Western Gailes or Prestwick – before the face-to-face business meetings begin on October 30.
Meetings will continue through until the afternoon of October 31, before a gala dinner celebrating global golf tourism is held.
