He was 79.<br>Bergey, who played for the <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/sports/nfl/philadelphia-eagles" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Philadelphia Eagles</a> from 1974-1980, had been battling cancer for the past few years. He earned <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/sports/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pro Bowl honors</a> four times during his time in Philly.
