Actress Demi Moore is prioritizing the “peace and comfort” of her ex-husband, Bruce Willis, amid his battle with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), according to a close friend.
The 62-year-old is reportedly spending more time with Willis to support his current wife, Emma Heming Willis, and keep him updated on her thriving Hollywood career.
Willis, 69, was diagnosed with FTD, a condition that affects communication and personality, three years after an initial diagnosis of aphasia. A long-time friend of Emma revealed that despite Moore’s successful year with roles in FX/Hulu’s miniseries Feud: Capote vs.The Swans, international indie film The Substance, and Paramount+ drama Landman, she remains committed to ensuring Willis’ wellbeing.

The friend stated: “Demi’s had an incredible year… but what’s really interesting is how gracefully she’s handling all the new attention and awards buzz while also keeping Bruce’s peace and comfort at the very top of her list of priorities.”
An insider revealed to In Touch: “Keeping Bruce comfortable and keeping his spirits up has become the central mission of Demi’s life and no amount of Oscar chatter or red carpet gala’s is going to keep Demi from the weekly time she spends with Bruce, especially during the holiday season.”The friend shared that Demi wants to be by Bruce’s side as he “deserves to be appreciated and around his family during this difficult period,” reports the Mirror US.
The source added that the actress wants to show her support for Bruce and is “convinced she is making a difference by staying by his side even though he’s not really able to communicate much beyond a chuckle or a warm grin.”
Despite her work commitments, Demi sees spending time with Bruce as something that is “absolutely necessary” the source further stated.
Demi and Bruce, one of Hollywood’s most iconic couples in the 1990s, were married for 13 years and share three daughters – Rumer Willis, Scout LaRue, and Tallulah Willis. They finalized their divorce in 2000 and nine years later, Bruce married Emma, 46, having two more children: Mabel Willis and Evelyn Willis.
