Monday marks 10 years since WABE launched two groundbreaking radio shows, “Closer Look with Rose Scott” and “City Lights with Lois Reitzes.” Over the past decade, both shows have become signature community-centered radio programs serving the metro Atlanta area and beyond.
Each program has its distinctive audience— “Closer Look” tackles topics related to politics, housing, education, business and transportation, while “City Lights” spotlights creativity—such as culture, music, theater, dance, visual arts, food and more.
In honor of the 10th anniversary of both programs, for a two-hour broadcast, show hosts Rose Scott and Lois Reitzes take a look back at some of their most memorable conversations and show moments.
The first hour of the broadcast took place in front of a live studio audience at WABE. For the second hour of the program, the hosts talk candidly about some of their most thought-provoking and historic news, arts and entertainment interviews.
