I-58 Mission to host open house March 10
The I-58 Mission, located at 2450 Highway 85 in Senoia, will open its doors to the public on Sunday, March 10, from 2-4 p.m. to offer a look at the work that goes on behind the scenes at the mission. The vision of I-58 is to partner with the Christian community and local churches in a mission to serve God’s people based on the promises of Isaiah 58:6-12.
I-58 offers food-insecure clients from Coweta, Fayette, Spalding and Meriwether counties a Christian environment where they can hear a weekly devotional with uplifting music, shop for food – making choices in their food selection, shop once a season for clothes and obtain needed baby items and household goods.
I-58 also helps its clients with additional needs and celebrates different holidays throughout the year with items from the stage each week as they shop. On the stage are items for Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s and Father’s Day just to name a few. When a holiday is not pending, the stage holds decor items, seasonal items, and community donations. Also, birthday bags are available for clients when celebrating a child’s birthday.
I-58 Mission is open and accepting donations Monday through Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Check-in is from 8:30 until 10 a.m. Thursday is service day and when the pantry is open for clients. The mission is closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
