Broad Street Deli, located at 519 Broad Street, Altavista, held their ribbon cutting on November 22 at 11 a.m. Hours are Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Monday-Friday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.; and Saturday -Closed. Seating capacity for eating in is 15. They offer take out, call in, and curbside. Telephone number is 434-309-1706. They will offer a military discount.
Last week was a soft opening for the Deli and the support has been great. Thanks to Altavista.
Patricia Dudley and son Larry Hayward welcomed everyone for coming out to the Grand Opening. “Welcome to where good food and company comes together.” Patricia thanks everyone for all the support and patience and working with them as they go through the opening of the Broad Street Deli.
On Friday their family from Philadelphia were helping cook for the Grand Opening.
JoAnne Haynes of Gretna said she came to try the Deli out since it was new to the town.
Haynes said, “The cheesesteak was great and had plenty of meat.”
David Green with AOT presented a $5,000.00 AOT grant check. The ribbon was cut by Larry and Tammy Hayward.
Green shared, “This is what downtown revitalization looks like.” He added, “Patricia was able to take part in the classes that Spark Innovative Center offered and was able to receive grants from both AOT and Campbell County.”
Patricia wants to thank Lora Lane for the bundt cakes she made for the grand opening.
“Come see us at Broad Street Deli. Home is where the cheesesteaks are.”
