The Brewers have “opted to re-engage” with FanDuel Sports Network — its former longtime TV partner — for the 2025 season despite announcing in October that MLB Media would carry the team’s games next year, according to Todd Rosiak of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL. The Brewers will be one of eight MLB teams whose games will be broadcast on FanDuel in 2025. Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger said that the franchise “was approached by the network in early December about the possibility of renewing their partnership.” The club’s local broadcasts have “always been among the highest rated in MLB” — in 2024, the team’s 5.0 rating in the Milwaukee designated market area trailed only the Phillies in all of MLB. Schlesinger said, “Their executives reached out and said, ‘Hey, we want to explore a potential new structure with you and new opportunities.’ And I said, ‘We are certainly open.’ We had a good relationship with Diamond Sports Group; they’ve been our partner for a number of years. And we know their executives, their production folks” (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 12/31).

RETURNING TO FORM: In Milwaukee, Rich Kirchen wrote the announcement “represents a major turnaround for the Brewers’ front office,” as the club initially “planned to launch a new Brewers TV channel on cable and satellite” and a “new streaming service” with the help of MLB Media (MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL, 12/31).
