Nebraska has made another coaching change as special teams coordinator Ed Foley will not return next season. Foley has been the special teams coordinator since head coach Matt Rhule took over.
After the Huskers’ Pinstripe Bowl victory over Boston College, Rhule said special teams would undergo a “total overhaul.” During that game, the Eagles took back a Nebraska PAT for two points and blocked a punt to set up another scoring drive.
During Rhule’s tenure, special teams have been a major issue for the Huskers. This past season, Nebraska only averaged 4.87 yards per punt return, compared to the opponent’s average of 12.32 There has also been multiple games decided by special teams miscues during his time in Lincoln.
This is a developing story
