FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) – Nearly three dozen high school boys basketball teams from Northeast Indiana entered Friday evening with title hopes still intact.
After an action-packed evening of sectional semifinals, each championship matchup is set for Saturday.
Fort Wayne’s teams had a successful evening, with Wayne, Homestead, Carroll, Northrop and Bishop Luers all picking up semifinal wins.
The Spartans took control in the fourth quarter to set up an all-SAC Sectional Final
The Generals lit up the scoreboard in Friday’s sectional semi-final win over their nearby rival
Blackhawk Christian also notched a playoff win to book themselves a spot on Saturday’s schedule.
New Haven, Leo and Columbia City represent the NE8 teams still in the field.
Woodlan is the last of the ACAC schools, and Central Noble is the only remaining representative of the NECC.
The Saturday Sectional Championships schedule is listed below.
Class 4A
Northridge vs. Warsaw (Elkhart Sectional) at 7:00 p.m.
Northrop @ Carroll (Carroll Sectional) at 7:00 p.m.
Homestead @ Wayne (Wayne Sectional) at 7:00 p.m.
Class 3A
Tippecanoe Valley vs. Columbia City (NorthWood Sectional) at 7:30 p.m.
Leo vs. Blackhawk Christian (Garrett Sectional) at 7:30 p.m.
New Haven vs. Marion (Bellmont Sectional) at 7:30 p.m.
Class 2A
Central Noble @ Westview (Westview Sectional) at 7:30 p.m.
Woodlan vs. Bishop Luers (South Adams Sectional) at 7:30 p.m.
Manchester vs. Oak Hill (Wabash Sectional) at 7:30 p.m.
Class 1A
Lakewood Park vs. Canterbury (Fremont Sectional) at 7:00 p.m.
