A new clip has emerged that is challenging Blake Lively’s claims against Justin Baldoni in her ongoing lawsuit alleging sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us.
The dueling lawsuits between the former co-stars have seen both teams lob insults at one another in recent weeks, with Baldoni’s team saying Lively is on “a vendetta” against him, and also slamming her and claiming in his newly filed suit against her and Ryan Reynolds that she told him to “get a nose job.”
This comes as Lively has countered Baldoni’s suit with claims of “concrete evidence” to support her case.
Now, a new clip, which was obtained by TMZ and is reportedly from Baldoni’s Wayfarer Studios, though that has been unconfirmed, seems to corroborate Baldoni’s side of the story.
The clip —that features audio that wasn’t used in the final cut of the film — shows three takes as Baldoni and Lively filmed a slow dance scene. The video footage shows the Baldoni and Lively engaged in conversation as they shoot the scene, which was referenced in both their suits. In the clip, Baldoni, 40, and Lively, 37, begin dancing as Lively says she thinks it would be “more romantic” if they talked in the scene, leading Baldoni to reference Lively’s relationship with her husband, Reynolds. Baldoni discusss them “talking all the time,” and shares how he and his wife, Emily, would “stare” at one another for five minutes.
That portion of the clip ended with Baldoni saying Lively and Reynolds were “cute” and Lively says she thinks it’s “more than cute.”
During a portion where Baldoni and Lively kiss in the scene, she is seen laughing and joking about the size of Baldoni’s nose, which he laughs about, before she then seems to suggest getting a nose job. “Yes, I was hoping that we could address this. It’s not too late, Just gotta shut down. Gotta call an insurance month, and just deal with that. Just kidding,” she says.
The final take of the scene sees Baldoni nuzzle Lively on her neck and ask if he was “getting beard” on her. She then says “I’m probably getting spray tan on you,” to which he replies “it smells good.” Lively then adds: “Well, it’s not that. It’s my body makeup.”
In a statement to Us Weekly that prefaced the footage, Baldoni’s team said: “Ms. Lively’s complaint alleges that during a scene Mr. Baldoni and Ms. Lively were filming for a slow dance montage, Mr. Baldoni was behaving inappropriately. The following videos captured on May 23, 2023, clearly refute Ms. Lively’s characterization of his behavior. The scene in question was designed to show the two characters falling in love and longing to be close to one another. Both actors are clearly behaving well within the scope of the scene and with mutual respect and professionalism. There are all three takes filmed of the sequence.”
The unconfirmed clip’s release comes after Lively’s December 2024 lawsuit against Baldoni references the scene as a place where Baldoni engaged in “inappropriate behavior,” and that no one heard the exchange between them because their microphones were off. “At one point, he leaned forward and slowly dragged his lips from her ear and down her neck as he said, ‘It smells so good,’” her suit states. “None of this was remotely in character, or based on any dialogue in the script, and nothing needed to be said because, again, there was no sound–Mr. Baldoni was caressing Ms. Lively with his mouth in a way that had nothing to do with their roles. When Ms. Lively later objected to this behavior, Mr. Baldoni’s response was, ‘I’m not even attracted to you.’”
Her suit claimed the inappropriate behavior on set led to a hostile work environment. She also alleged Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios hired a crisis PR team that launched a “smear campaign” against her as the film was promoted.
Baldoni and other named co-defendants all denied the allegations and later followed with a countersuit of their own. In Baldoni’s own $400 million suit against Lively, Reynolds and publicist Leslie Sloan, claiming defamation and extortion, he also references the same scene.
“Lively apologized for the smell of her spray tan and body makeup. Baldoni responded, ‘It smells good,’ and continued acting, slow dancing as he believed his character would with his partner, which requires some amount of physical touching,” his filing read.
“Lively took them out of character again and began to joke about Baldoni’s nose, which he laughed off and joked in turn, even as Lively joked that he should get plastic surgery,” it continued.
Addressing Lively’s claim the scene had no sound, Baldoni’s suit also claimed his mic was on and slammed any indication that the scene was not filmed in a proper manner.

“Her allegation of sexual harassment is a documented and knowingly fabricated lie.”
Following the release of this video footage, Lively’s legal team said in a statement that it “corroborates, to the letter” her claims of sexual harrassment.
The statement read: “Justin Baldoni and his lawyer may hope that this latest stunt will get ahead of the damaging evidence against him, but the video itself is damning. Every frame of the released footage corroborates, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described in Paragraph 48 of her Complaint.”
“The video shows Mr. Baldoni repeatedly leaning in toward Ms. Lively, attempting to kiss her, kissing her forehead, rubbing his face and mouth against her neck, flicking her lip with his thumb, caressing her, telling her how good she smells, and talking with her out of character,” Lively’s lawyers continued.
“The video shows Ms. Lively leaning away and repeatedly asking for the characters to just talk. Any woman who has been inappropriately touched in the workplace will recognize Ms. Lively’s discomfort,” the statement continued. “They will recognize her attempts at levity to try to deflect the unwanted touching.
“No woman should have to take defensive measures to avoid being touched by their employer without their consent.”
Her team said the clip’s release was “an unethical attempt to manipulate the public.”
“This matter is in active litigation in federal court. Releasing this video to the media, rather than presenting it as evidence in court, is another example of an unethical attempt to manipulate the public,” the statement read. “It is also a continuation of their harassment and retaliatory campaign. While they are focused on misleading media narratives, we are focused on the legal process.”
The statement concluded” “We are continuing our efforts to require Mr. Baldoni and his associates to answer in court, under oath, rather than through manufactured media stunts.”
