Nick Viall has shared an update on his new, and strange, diet that he is “not recommending” to anyone.
The Bachelor alum’s podcast, The Viall Files, often sparks a frenzy. Several reality TV stars like Joan Vassos and Jenn Tran have appeared on the segment and made headlines for their shocking admissions and awkward moments.
However, Viall is now the one feeling “uncomfortable” on the podcast.
During the most recent episode, the podcast host shared details on how his start to the new year is going. He revealed he has decided to begin 2025 with “a water fast.”
“I needed a cleanse,” Viall explained. “I’ve been eating way too much sugar lately these days and I think my diet has relatively not been where I feel like it could be or should be.”“I haven’t eaten in 36 hours, so that’s fun,” Viall joked, after clarifying the diet consists of “nothing [but] water.”
“It’s supposed to be really healthy for you,” he justified. Viall said the diet is supposed to “decrease your chance of cancer” as well as be “really good for inflammation” and “decreasing your chance of Alzheimer’s.”
Despite its benefits, the television personality “is not recommending it to anyone.”
“This is not some sort of, ‘Do this with me,'” he added. “I’m doing this for me.”
He is currently trying to go at least four days without eating but is struggling.

DWTS alum calls Bachelor’s Nick Viall out for ‘gossiping’ about him “Last night sucked hard,” he recalled. “They said that first 24 hours is tough. I felt really weak and tired—it was like 7:30, I was like, ‘Can we go to bed?’”
His wife Natalie Joy chimed into the conversation and said the host has become “the hangriest person [she’s] ever been around.”
She shared: “He’s so mad, he’s so angry, and I’m like, ‘You can stop whenever you… want! You can’t complain when you’re doing it!”
Viall defended his actions as he said it was a “tough first night” but he is now “fine.”
Joy is also “suffering” by her husband’s decision as she “can’t cook for s—t” and with the host not eating, she’s left with nothing to eat.
Viall assured his fans and his wife the diet was “temporary.”
