A new non-stop flight from the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport began service on Friday.
Avelo Airlines direct flights connect Rochester to Lakeland, Fla., which is located between Tampa and Orlando, Fla.
In two weeks, on Nov. 8, the airline will begin another non-stop flight to Concord, N.C. just outside of Charlotte.
Avelo already has non-stop trips to both Raleigh, N.C., and Greenville, S.C.
