If you saw the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, and got a glimpse of The Apprentice star Jeremy Strong‘s outfit, it may seem vaguely familiar — and it did to Anne Hathaway too!
Hathaway, who previously co-starred with Strong in 2022’s Armageddon Time, called out Jeremy on his ensemble, noting that his bucket hat looks very similar to the one that her Princess Diaries character, Mia Thermopolis, wears in the iconic 2001 film.
On Instagram, Anne shared a split photo of herself as Mia in the grey bucket hat, and Jeremy’s bluish green Golden Globes hat. She wrote along with it, "Sweetheart, I’m not mad you borrowed it but I didn’t totally realize you were going to change the col… anyway, not important, congrats on your well deserved nom for The Apprentice!!!"
Strong was nominated for a Golden Globe this year in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture category for his role as Roy Cohn in The Apprentice — Keiran Culkin ended up taking home the award for his role in A Real Pain. Strong’s Apprentice co-star, Sebastian Stan, was also up for a Golden Globe in the Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama category, but lost to Adrien Brody who starred in The Brutalist.
