Former LSU star and current Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese was awarded the BET’s Sportswoman of the Year award Sunday evening.
The award is given to the “best and most successful female athlete of the previous year,” according to BET.

Others considered for the honor include A’ja Wilson, Coco Gauff, Flau’jae Johnson, JuJu Watkins, Naomi Osaka, Sha’Carri Richardson and Simone Biles.
Prior to receiving her BET award Sunday, Reese a WNBA single-season record with her 10th straight double-double, finishing with 10 points and 16 rebounds in a loss against Minnesota. Candace Parker of the Los Angeles Sparks set the previous record in 2015.
