BLD Architecture President and Chief Executive Officer Alex Badalamenti brings 40 years of architectural design expertise to his role. With a portfolio that spans Long Island, New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut and international projects, Badalamenti is renowned for his work on large commercial, ultra-high-end and multi-phased sophisticated projects. His dedication to client relationships, firmwide leadership and quality assurance has solidified his reputation as a leader in the field. More importantly, he has built a firm culture and local relationships that are rooted in Long Island’s past while respecting the need for future community growth.
In his role at BLD Architecture, Badalamenti is responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships, overseeing the strategic direction and operations of the firm and ensuring high standards in project execution. His career highlights include notable local projects such as the Bulova Watchcase Factory in Sag Harbor, Grumman Studios in Port Washington, the YMCA in Patchogue and the Jake’s 58 expansion in Islandia. His diverse body of work ranges from large high-rise buildings to small local galleries. Each project reflects his keen eye for detail and commitment to purposeful design.
Badalamenti is a 1985 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture. A resident of the Three Village area, he engages in various professional and charitable activities in the community. His affiliations include the American Institute of Architects, AIA Long Island, Gallery North, the U.S. Green Building Council-Long Island, Tesla Foundation and the Energeia Partnership.
