
The Alabama High School Sports Hall of Fame will welcome its 12 new inductees from the Class of 2025 on Monday, March 10, 2025.
The inductees were chosen from 60 nominations submitted by schools and organizations all over the state. This new class includes coaches across all sports, administrators and contributors to prep athletics in Alabama.
Among the honorees is Meridy Lyle Jones, the girls’ tennis coach at UMS-Wright, whose program set a state record with 11 consecutive state titles (2009-2019). Brent Hubbard, the current head football coach and athletic director at T.R. Miller, will be joining his father, Jim Hubbert, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006. The father-son duo ranks one and two, respectively, in coaching wins at Maplesville High School
The inductees will be honored at a banquet at the Montgomery Renaissance Hotel and Spa Convention Center on March 10, 2025. The banquet is set to start at 6 p.m. CT.
These new inductees will bring the total number of members in the Hall of Fame to 414. The first class of the Alabama High School Sports Hall of Fame was inducted in 1991.
