India’s flag carrier, Air India, has launched its “Maharaja Club Points Plus” offer which allows frequent flyer members to maximise reward points earned with eligible bank partners, from now through March 31, 2025.
The Maharaja Club offer benefits include priority services, lounge access, and enhance reward options. Members can redeem reward points to book Award Flights and cabin upgrades on Air India and other Star Alliance members, like United, Avianca, or Singapore Airlines, among others.
The bank partners eligible for points conversion include ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, DBS Bank, and SBI Cards. Members can convert bank reward points for a minimum of 5,000 Maharaja Points and can earn bonus points on those transactions based on how many points they convert.
The minimum benchmark is from 5,000 points to 25,000, in which customers would earn 10% bonus points, and every 25,000 points increase the bonus increases in 10% increments accordingly. So, for every 25,000 to 50,000 points converted there is a 20% bonus, and so on until 100,000 points and more, which all qualify for 50%.
It’s important to note that members will only earn bonus points with the first eligible transaction with a qualifying bank partner, so if a member converts points twice from the same bank, the bonus offer will only count for the first transaction.
As India’s leading global carrier, the airline has introduced the bonus offer in order to continue providing its customers with more options for travel and to improve the travel experience. In doing so, it’s also taking steps to maintain its leading airline status and remain competitive in the growing aviation industry.
