A shooting closed Business 80 in Sacramento Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person was shot in a vehicle on the freeway, CHP said.
It is unclear on the extent of the victim’s injuries, according to officials.
Business 80 was temporarily closed south of the American River Bridge and Exposition Boulevard. The road has since reopened.
The CHP Valley Division Investigative Services Unit is following up on leads and searching for the suspect, who is still at large.
