Many Minnesotans are eagerly awaiting the release of the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown” directed by James Mangold.
The film, which brought Timothée Chalamet to Minnesota earlier this year, is set in New York in the early 1960s and follows the enigmatic 19-year-old Bob Dylan as he arrives in the West Village with his guitar and a dream of changing American music for generations to come.
Audiences will see Chalamet star as the young singer as he navigates a vibrant music scene, building his most intimate relationships, and rising to fame. Chalamet sang, played harmonica, and played the guitar all live in the filming of the movie, as it was important to the creation of the film and honoring of Bob Dylan to do it live.
“A Complete Unknown” stars Chalamet, Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro, Boyd Holbrook, Dan Fogler, Norbert Leo Butz and Scoot McNairy.
Ahead of the Christmas release, Searchlight Pictures has released a behind-the-scenes “Subterranean Homesick Blues” music video, which you can watch below.
