RNGD, a New Orleans construction company, said it will spend $25 million to move its corporate headquarters to Jefferson Parish and consolidate its manufacturing and training operations there, a move that will create 130 jobs.
One of New Orleans most prominent construction firms, RNGD, is expanding into the Nashville area with the opening of a new office building.
RNGD, pronounced renegade, has been in Nashville since 2021 and was previously renting a small office there. But the company needed a larger space to accommodate its growing portfolio of business and staff, RNGD Owner Wes Palmisano said.
In 2023, the company purchased a former automotive repair shop about two miles east of the city’s tourist district for $2 million, turned it into an office building and moved into the 4,000-square-foot space earlier this month.
“Nashville is a great place to do business, and we love the unique culture of the city,” said Palmisano, who has 12 employees in RNGD’s Nashville office. “Nashville is a part of our regional growth plan.”
The move is the latest of several recent expansions for Palmisano, who rebranded his company as RNGD in 2023. He is currently nearing completion on the $26 million expansion of his prefabrication facility in Metairie. Later this year, the company’s corporate offices will move to the site from its current headquarters building on Tchoupitoulas Street, which Palmisano sold to Liberty Bank in August.
The company is also expanding in Huntsville, Alabama, where it is developing a mixed-use district in that city’s downtown with townhouses, retail space, a restaurant and offices.
Palmisano said RNGD’s growth in other cities complements the work it is doing in the New Orleans market, which will continue to be its home base.
“Our recent investment in the New Orleans area and move to a new facility in an industrial environment is a commitment to keeping New Orleans as our regional headquarters and expanding our workforce in the local market,” he said.
