The honors continue to roll in for Chaminade softball shortstop Taryn Fujioka.
Fujioka, a Pearl City High alumna from Aiea, became the Silverswords’ first PacWest Player of the Year last week after a standout junior season. On Thursday the National Fastpitch Coaches Association named her to its Division II All-West Region second team.
She batted .415 to become the first Silversword to hit .400 since 2013, and had an on-base percentage of .481. She hit a conference-best six triples with 26 runs and 16 RBIs.
The Silverswords went 15-21 (10-15 PacWest) in 2024.
