Noelia Voigt has announced that she has “sadly” made the “tough decision” to give up her Miss USA crown to focus on her mental health. The 24-year-old model, who won the Miss USA crown in 2023 in Reno Tahoe, shared her decision to step down on Instagram. Voigt stated that her Miss USA journey has been “incredibly meaningful, representing Utah with pride, and later the USA at Miss Universe.” “Never could I have imagined the journey that my childhood dream would take me on. Constant and consistent hard work and dedication all lead me to where I am today, and I hope that the last seven years of competing in pageantry and sharing my journey with you all is something that inspires you to never give up on your dreams,” wrote Voigt on Instagram. Holding the Miss USA title has been her “lifelong dream,” and “eternal gratitude” fills Voigt’s heart for the opportunities she’s been given. Now is the beginning of “a new chapter” for Voigt, and she hopes to continue to inspire others and urge them to “prioritize your mental health.” She understands her resignation may “come as a large shock to many” and advised her fans to “never compromise your physical and mental well-being.”
