MADISON, Wis. — The Overture Center unveiled the lineup for its 2024-25 season on Monday as it celebrates its 20th anniversary.
Overture is set to follow up a jam-packed 2023-24 season that saw Broadway smash hits like “Beetlejuice,” “Les Misérables” and “Mamma Mia!” make their way to Madison.
This upcoming season promises to be no different with one of the longest-listed shows in Broadway history, “Wicked,” headlining the lineup. Audiences will also get to see the Wisconsin premiere of several shows during the season.
“Celebrating two decades of astounding performances at Overture Center fills me with gratitude for the incredible journey we’ve shared,” Overture’s chief artistic experiences officer Tim Sauers said. “As I reminisce on our history, I am reminded of the cherished moments we’ve experienced together with esteemed artists on our stages.”
Along with the Broadway shows, the upcoming season will also see the return of Steve Martin and Martin Short to Overture Hall, as well as new performances including “Shrek the Musical.”
