Sean “Diddy” Combs has taken legal action to dismiss certain sexual assault claims lodged against him. His attorneys have filed a motion in New York to dismiss allegations not covered by the law at the time of the alleged 1991 incident. The claims include accusations such as revenge porn and human trafficking, which were not legislated until years after the report. The alleged victim, Joi Dickerson-Deal, accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting her when she was 19 years old. Combs suggested that Dickerson-Deal is trying to exploit a temporary extension to the statute of limitations in New York law. This legal maneuver coincides with a federal sex trafficking investigation, as authorities recently raided his properties in Los Angeles and Miami. Despite facing multiple sexual abuse lawsuits, Combs and his legal team continue to deny all allegations.
