Miriam Tanenbaum, who joined Capital One Bank in 2012, currently serves as senior vice president and market manager, heading up Long Island and Queens middle market commercial banking.
Leading a team of bankers from Capital One’s Long Island headquarters in Melville, Tanenbaum applies more than 25 years of industry experience to her role. She joined Capital One Bank from JPMorgan Chase, where she held several positions. These included relationship manager, division manager for the textile and apparel banking division in New York City, and senior vice president and division manager for commercial banking on Long Island and Queens.
Throughout Tanenbaum’s career, her leadership and expertise have been recognized by many organizations, including LIBN. She was named by LIBN among Long Island’s Top 50 Women in Business in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and in 2014 she was awarded Top 50 Women in Business Hall of Fame status.
Active in the local business community, Tanenbaum serves on the board of the Long Island Association and is vice chair of the organization’s financial services and tax policy committee. She is also a member of the Touro Law Center advisory board.
A resident of Great Neck, Tanenbaum holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from American University in Washington, D.C.
