In this special section, “Long Island Business Influencers: Banking and Finance 2024,” we acknowledge and honor the region’s most prolific thought leaders regarding our most pressing financial matters. With this being an ever-changing landscape—sometimes even by the minute—our region is lucky to boast banking institutions and financial services providers who are on point and ready to serve. Whether this involves a comprehensive review of a large corporation’s financials, or helping a small business obtain lending, these individuals are the best at what they do, and their organizations and personal accomplishments are directly reflective of this.
Another area where this industry excels is giving back to the community through various grants, charities and philanthropies. This includes tens of thousands of dollars each year in grant money for local nonprofits, as well as sponsoring community events to promote our region. Many are also involved in working with Long Island institutions of higher learning, and even as young as the elementary school level, teaching students the importance of financial health and a balanced budget.
In addition, LIBN seeks to honor these influencers—many alumni also appear within these pages—with our annual combined Business Finance/Leadership in Law awards. Held on Monday, Nov. 11, this event recognizes individuals whose dedication in the financial and legal professions, have had a positive impact on Long Island.
