The Financial Post has earned a nomination in the business category of the National Newspaper Awards.
Naimul Karim is a finalist for his reporting on the changes to Canada’s immigration laws and its impact on skilled foreign workers.
“Naim’s coverage of the intricacies of Canada’s immigration system has been outstanding,” editor-in-chief Joe Hood said. “He has been ahead of the pack on an issue that leapt into the national spotlight over the past year. We congratulate him on the well-deserved nomination.”
The other finalists in the business category are from the Toronto Star/Investigative Journalism Bureau and the Hamilton Spectator.
The winners will be announced on April 25 in Montreal.
