SPOKANE, Wash. — The best of women’s and girls sports are taking over Spokane in the coming weeks.
Throughout March and April, The Lilac City will host a variety of women’s and girls sporting events, including volleyball games, basketball tournaments and wrestling matches.
“We just have back-to-back events with girls and women athletes, so we’re just really excited to welcome them here to Spokane,” said Ketrya Lewis, Director of Marketing and Communications for Spokane Sports.
Spokanites can enjoy events like the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight rounds of the Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournament and USA Volleyball’s Pacific Northwest Qualifier.
“I think it’s really an opportunity to be able to hear real life experiences and to see some of that come to life in our region is going to be so exciting,” Lewis said.
Excited sports fans can also attend the free Fan Fest Block Party on March 29 in Riverfront Park.
