Salvatore Coco is a partner at Beatty Harvey Coco Architects, a midsize architectural firm with offices in Melville as well as Baltimore. Coco, who holds a Bachelor of Architecture, is a licensed architect in New York and Florida, a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accredited professional and a member of the Congress for New Urbanism.
With nearly four decades of experience, Coco is a second-generation architect who has been part of the Long Island architectural/development market’s evolution from municipal and educational developments to industrial and corporate developments and beyond. Coco’s firm is helping to address the current need to deliver new housing choices and types to Long Island’s varied population.
The Beatty Harvey Coco firm was founded in Brooklyn in 1880 and now specializes in the planning, architecture and interior design of multifamily, mixed-use and hospitality architecture. In addition, the firm has completed more than 150 public library projects all over Long Island, New Jersey, Brooklyn, Westchester and Rockland and continues to work on library projects in those regions. The company began taking on projects in Baltimore in 1990.
On Long Island, Coco and his firm have been responsible for significant recent market-rate multifamily developments, workforce housing and mixed-use projects. These include several buildings in Wyandanch Village, Shoregate in Bay Shore, The Wel in Lindenhurst, Shipyard at Port Jefferson, The Arden at Garvies Point, Langdon Lynbrook, Fairfield Townhomes at Central Islip, Smithtown Preserve, Fieldstone Commack, Grand at Baldwin, 34 Park Avenue in Bay Shore, Copiague Commons, Vineyard View in Southold and more.
