PHOENIX (AZFamily) — School expenses can start to add up, so it’s Something Good when a local organization is offering scholarships for Arizona students.
The Empowering Diversity Scholarship, presented by the Fiesta Sports Foundation, has helped 119 Arizona minority students receive support while pursuing their academic aspirations. The scholarship is available through two separate tracks, one for post-secondary education and the other for GED completion.
This year’s program will offer nearly $100,000 in funding for students who can use the funds to support their higher education classes or earn a GED.
Those seeking their GED will be awarded $500 to cover assessment fees. High school seniors or college students attending an Arizona university can apply to earn a $5,000 grant.
Applications for the Empowering Diversity Scholarship close March 14 at 11:59 p.m., so don’t forget to sign up now! Visit FiestaBowl.org/DiversityScholarship for more information and to apply before the deadline.
