Hy-Vee is partnering with the Caitlin Clark Foundation to support childhood nutrition by raising funds for local food banks across the Midwest in March.
The Caitlin Clark Foundation Round Up will take place through March 31 across all Hy-Vee, Dollar Fresh Market and Fast & Fresh locations. Customers can round up their purchases to the nearest dollar during checkout with all funds collected at stores going directly to the Caitlin Clark Foundation, which in turn will work with local Feeding America partner food banks.
A local organization helping refugees will be able to offer additional assistance thanks to an $18,500 donation from Ascentra Credit Union. Tapestry Farms received the donation on Feb. 24.
Tapestry Farms helps local refugees with housing, education, work, transportation and citizenship. The nonprofit organization creates jobs, using 10 plots of land for urban farms throughout the Quad-Cities to help refugees to become farm specialists. They use regenerative farming techniques to grow fresh produce, which helps feed families resettled in the area. Extra produce and flowers are donated to local food pantries and the rest is sold at a farmers’ market or through a subscription service.
Riverbend Road is a shared workspace and co-working community located in uptown Davenport. Their mission is to empower small business owners, nonprofits, remote workers, healthcare professional, and creative freelancers by fostering productivity and work-life balance. They offer 4,000 sq. ft. of flexible coworking spaces, collaboration areas and office rentals.
Their amenities include a spacious boardroom, a kitchen, a communal print and copy area, and a break space where people can connect with fellow business owners.

Junior Achievement of the Heartland is joining forces with seven Jersey Mike’s Subs locations within their 24-county area for the 15th annual March “Month of Giving” campaign to support local nonprofits. During the month of March, customers will have the option to donate $5 when placing their order and will receive a BOGO coupon in return.
The Month of Giving campaign culminates with Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 26, when local Jersey Mike’s restaurants will give 100% of the day’s sales — not just profit — to Junior Achievement of the Heartland.
Since Month of Giving began in 2011, Jersey Mike’s has raised more than $113 million for local nonprofits.
