WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Library is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1106 Third Ave., Worthington. The library is closed Saturdays and Sundays. The Children’s Library, 206 11th St., Worthington, is open noon to 5:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; and 9 a.m. to noon Friday. It is closed Saturday and Sunday.
The Adrian Branch Library, 214 Maine Ave., Adrian, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (Labor Day to Memorial Day). The library is closed Wednesdays.

Please note: The Nobles County Libraries (Adrian and Worthington) are not accepting donations of items until further notice. Please do not leave donations outside of the building or put them in the book drops.

Special Program: The Nobles County Library and the Nobles County Historical Society present: “The (Not So) Invisible Empire: The KKK in Southwest Minnesota,” by Dr. Anita Talsma Gaul. Join us for this co-sponsored event at 6:30 p.m. March 24, at the Nobles County Heritage Center, 225 Ninth Street, Worthington.
Friends of the Library Book Club: 6 p.m. March 31, at the Elks Lodge, 1105 Second Ave., Worthington. We will be discussing the book, “State of Wonder” by Ann Patchett. All are welcome!
After School Programs: Stop by or call the children’s department at (507) 295-5346 to sign up your children. Children are responsible for their own ride to and from the library.

The Winter Reading Program is nearing the end. Please turn in your completed cards by March 31! Read 12 books (or audio books/e-books) and return your punch card to the library to choose your prize.
Art Club: Join us at 5:30 p.m. March 24, at Ecumen Meadows, 1801 College Way, south building, second floor in the Activity Room. The theme for this month is “decades”. There is no cost and all are welcome!

Area Art Show: Opening day for the 65th Area Art Show is from 4:30 to 7 p.m. April 4 at the Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center, 714 13th St., Worthington.
