Despite the loss, this was a special day for Wisconsin as they honored its six seniors. The senior class has combined to play 556 games for the Badgers, scoring 3,558 points.
The loss also hurt Wisconsin’s chances of securing a double bye in the Big Ten Tournament. The Badgers needed the win to get the job done, but things could still shake out in their favor. They need Maryland to beat Northwestern and USC to defeat UCLA to jump back into the four spot.
Up next: The Badgers will wait to find out their seed for the Big Ten Tournament that kicks off this week in Indianapolis.
