Coming off of iNet.Sport Media Hub’s archival with the National Basketball Association (NBA), Videoship (Booth W1411) will highlight this solution at NAB 2025.The product from VideoShip has transformed workflows at NBC Sports RSNs, earning the approval of the league’s video archive unit after examining the workflow, video quality, and codecs. Every NBA game produced by NBC Sports Bay Area, NBC Sports California, NBC Sports Boston, and NBC Sports Philadelphia uses VideoShip’s iNet.Sport Media Hub. It’s the new way of “Melting” — eliminating the need for crew overtime and hand-carried hard drives.
The RSN’s studio and digital producers enjoy the added value of the iNet.Sport Media Hub offers – instant access to all clips the EVS operator tags – not just the video that makes the NBA game broadcast as a replay. Highlight and social media producers work with the hi-res video to offer in-game content to their followers. AI-enhanced metadata adds deeper context to each clip, including granular detail that allows users to find the exact clip they need.
The NBA media headquarters is now integrated with the iNet.Sport product and capturing the tagged assets as the game plays out – not waiting for a traditional end-of-game melt. The iNet Sport Media Hub resulted from a year-long collaboration with NBC Sports RSN,” says VideoShip President Colin Grimes. “We did what we do best – listening to their vision. We added layers of detail from each game to enhance clip discovery and retrieval with deep, searchable metadata. I’m so proud of the work of our development and engineering teams. I can’t wait to see where we take this product next.”
