Joan Vassos dodged a question about her old flame Gerry Turner.
The Golden Bachelorette star is focused on her future with Chock Chapple, who she got engaged to during the season finale. They are currently marking major milestones like a New York City apartment search.
While she found a “great connection” with Chapple, she has still stayed in contact with her past suitors, including Gerry Turner.
The television personality starred on the latest episode of the Two Jersey Js podcast, where she talked about finding love in her golden years and almost quitting the show. Vassos also talked about her current relationship with her old flame.
She confessed: “We are really good friends still. We stay in touch.”The two met on The Golden Bachelor, where they seemed to have good connection until Vassos decided to eliminate herself to take care of her daughter who had just given birth.
Turner ended up proposing to Theresa Nist, with whom he tied the knot to in January of 2024. The couple split five months later, after he was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer.
The hosts asked her if she would entertain the idea of rekindling the relationship with Turner if it was presented. She politely declined to answer.
She responded: “I’m not gonna comment.”
While she refused to say much about her relationship with Turner, she did comment on his connection with his ex-wife. Vassos says she’s using their history as a road map for her and Chapple.
