<span>News & Links</span> <time pubdate datetime="1/23/2025 10:00:00 AM">1/23/2025 10:00:00 AM</time> <br><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>BLOOMINGTON, Minn.</strong> – Student-athletes in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) continue to achieve in both athletics and the classroom. On Thursday, the MIAC announced its Academic All-Conference honorees for the 2023-24 fall semester, including 870 student-athletes. The previous fall-sport high was 799, set in the 2022-23 academic year.</span><br><span style="font-size:14px;">To qualify for Academic All-MIAC status, student-athletes must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors by academic standards with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Students must also complete one full-time academic year at their current institution before becoming eligible for the honor. </span><br><span style="font-size:14px;">To meet the athletic qualifications, an individual must be a member of a MIAC-sponsored varsity sports team, be academically and athletically eligible, have utilized a season of participation per NCAA and MIAC definitions, and have remained on the sports roster through the conclusion of the sports season to be eligible for Academic All-Conference honors.</span><br><span style="font-size:14px;">The 2023-24 MIAC Academic All-Conference fall-sport honorees can be found <a href="https://miac_ftp.sidearmsports.com/custompages/awards/Academic%20AC/aacfall24.pdf">here</a>, classified alphabetically first by sport, then institution.
