Caledonia, Minn. (WXOW) The Caledonia basketball programs are celebrating a confluence of milestones, the timing of which, you can’t make up.
Caledonia boys hosted Chatfield Tuesday night.
Reid Klug joined the school’s 1,000-point club with a basket in the first half.
Klug finishing with 13 points on the night in a Caledonia blowout win.
Not to be outdone, just down the road in Chatfield, Reid’s sister Aubrey also surpassing the 1,000 career point mark.
The milestones happening just minutes apart.
What a night a night for the Klug’s.
By the way, Caledonia girls head coach Scott Sorenson picked up his 400th win.
Speaking of Caledonia, the boys squad is having a sensational season so far.
Tuesday night’s 64-point win over Chatfield improved their record to 14-2.
The warriors are coming off a win over Mount Horeb, previously the top-ranked team in Division 2 in Wisconsin.
Caledonia is currently ranked 3rd in Class 2-A in Minnesota.
“I think we’re playing very well as a team. The ball is flying around. It’s not sitting in anybody’s hands. We’ve got four or five guys can put the ball in the bucket. We’re a really hard team to defend. We are defending on a really high level also which makes it really fun,” said head coach Brad King.
“We’re playing really good. We’re trusting each other to go get a bucket. We can definitely be better in the long run though, said senior Reid Klug.
