The day started off with a heated discussion on the Morning Joe.
MSNBC morning anchors Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski invited marketing expert Donny Deutsch to discuss Trump’s choice to pardon the January 6 rioters.
The conversation started off with Way Too Early host Ali Vitali pointing out “the fact that that can be done with a stroke of pen.”
Scarborough pointed out that Republicans have “a one vote majority in the house” and “a three vote majority in the Senate,” making it clear it was a close election.
Deutsch then chimed in, saying: “We can say that to ourselves that he has co-opted America’s heartbeat.”As he tried to get out his next sentence, Brzezinski said: “Well, if America’s heartbeat is to have hostage families standing behind him, that marketing visual is quite something.”
Within her statement, the guest responded: “I’m not saying… you might not like that.”
Deutsch asked the host to stop and “listen to him” multiple times.
He continued: “People will absorb it because he gives them what they want in other places.”

Scarborough reminded the two Trump “told them what he was going to do.”
He said: “He’s providing the bread and the circuses, as they said in Roman days, that entertains them.”
He followed by saying Trump’s actions are “breaking one norm after another.”
Accompanied by an eye roll, Brzezinski said to Deutsch and the viewers that it can’t be ignored.
The guest clarified: “Nobody’s saying ignore it, I’m saying the opposite, actually.”Get all the latest news, entertainment, sport and lifestyle updates from our dedicated American team.
