Zumbrota-Mazeppa’s Paislee Peterson and Addie Liffrig got hot from 3-point range. Their points were needed to hold off Pine Island in a 62-54 win Tuesday.
Peterson made five 3-pointers, while Liffrig had four. The Cougars made 12 in the game.
Peterson also led the Cougars in points with 18. Adi Preston had 16 points. Liffrig had all 12 of her points on the 3-point shot.
Goodhue 85, LC 62
Goodhue flexed it muscles against Lake City in a high-scoring victory.
Ten different players scored for the Wildcats.
Kendyl Lodermeier continued her recent stretch of piling up points with 29 to lead the Wildcats. Natalie Thomforde ended with 16 points. Lola Christianson scored 10 points and Ashlee Barton had nine points.
Delilah Benjamin had a team-best 20 points for the Tigers. Peyton Meincke scored 12 points and Sadie Sanders chipped in nine points.
