8.00am 16th January 2025 - <a href="https://golfbusinessnews.com/news/marketing-pr/">Marketing & PR</a> <br>Leading golf PR and marketing specialist <a href="https://theazaleagroup.com">Azalea</a> has announced two key appointments at the start of a busy year for the agency. <br>Experienced industry professional Roddy Williams has taken up the role of head of content and media, leading the existing content team while working on a number of key accounts. <br>Williams built a stellar reputation in the industry across a 22-year spell at the European Tour group and Ryder Cup and was recently director of communications at the international non-profit GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf. <br>Azalea’s team has also been bolstered with the addition of Chris Beeson as an account manager. Beeson joins from a role at British Airways Holidays after previously serving as UK project manager at Your Golf Travel, and is also a talented golfer having operated as a PGA Professional since 2006.<br>The appointments continue a busy period of growth for Azalea, whIch appointed Damian Urwin as an account manager and Alana Burnett as lifestyle content manager last year. Urwin ended his own six-year spell at Your Golf Travel in 2024 after a period as a market manager for online travel agency Agoda, while Burnett has extensive experience in travel and hospitality, most recently in a managerial role for Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire. <br>Sean Noble, managing director at The Azalea Group, said: “We are delighted to make two very strong additions to the team as the business continues to grow following an extremely successful 2024.
