Squalicum (6-5) has won four of its last five games and jumped into fifth place in the conference standings. The Storm has the youngest roster in the conference with one senior, one junior, nine sophomores and a freshman. Despite having an inexperienced lineup, Squalicum is streaking upwards, scoring over 44 points per game and allowing less than 40 points.
Lynden Christian (11-2) is tied for first in the conference standings and is averaging 60 points per game. The Lyncs have a more experienced roster with five seniors and four juniors. Lynden Christian is also a taller squad with five players 5-foot-10 or taller.
Western Washington University men’s basketball has struggled after a surprising start to the season. After a 4-0 start, the Vikings are now 9-7 and eighth in the conference standings. Will Wilson leads the team in scoring with 15.3 points per game while Grant Kelley follows with 15 points per game and a team-high 68 assists.
Western Oregon sits at the bottom of the conference with a 3-12 record. The Wolves have yet to win a game on the road and have lost their last three games.
