Washington, D.C. (January 15, 2025) – Award-winning local media platform Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) and renowned sports industry media and events company Sports Business Journal (SBJ) announced today that the highly-anticipated show Sports Business Journal: Inside the Industry will premiere on Monday, Jan. 27 at 6:30 PM ET on MNMT.
The dynamic new program is SBJ’s first television series and will cover the rapidly evolving business of sports and provide an in-depth look into the trends, leaders, and innovations shaping the world of sports today. Inside the Industry, which will air new episodes the last Monday of each month, is produced by Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) in partnership with SBJ.

Hosted by MNMT reporter and analyst Tarik El-Bashir, each episode features exclusive interviews, insider access to an international lineup of more than 15 annual SBJ conferences, and commentary from a panel of sports industry experts, including SBJ’s award-winning reporters and executives who will explore the most cutting-edge developments and trends across the sports industry. The show’s home studio will be inside MNMT’s multimillion-dollar production facility, located adjacent to Capital One Arena in downtown Washington, D.C.

In the premiere episode, El-Bashir will be joined by Madkour, Jordan Silberman, President, Venues at MSE, and Joe Lemire, Senior Writer at SBJ to discuss cutting-edge sports venues and in-venue fan experiences shaping the future of the industry. The episode will dive deep into the building boom across the professional sports landscape and feature insight into some of the world’s most state-of-the-art venues, including the Los Angeles Clippers’ Intuit Dome, the Dallas Cowboys’ “The Star” campus, and MSE’s $800+ million transformation of Capital One Arena.
Future show topics will range from the latest innovation in sports media and technology, to the next generation of women leaders, to industry disruptors who are taking their teams in bold new directions.
