AUSTIN — Gov. Greg Abbott’s political committee, Texans for Greg Abbott, entered the new year with nearly $70 million in the bank, his campaign reported Monday.
Abbott raised $51 million in 2024, with more than $45 million going to his political committee and more than $6 million directly to his campaign.
“The strong support our campaign received is a clear indication of the trust Texans have in Governor Abbott and his steadfast, conservative leadership,” said Kim Snyder, Abbott’s campaign manager.
The announcement came ahead of Tuesday’s start of the state’s 89th legislative session and Wednesday’s deadline to file semiannual campaign finance reports, which will cover fundraising and expenditures from July through December.

Abbott’s campaign said his political committee raised about $21.5 million in the second half of the year from nearly 34,000 donors. Eighty-four percent of the money came from Texans. The campaign itself raised $2 million in the second half of 2024.
“Raising over $50 million from every corner of the state showcases the strength of the Governor’s vision for Texas,” Snyder said in a statement. “With nearly $70 million cash on hand, we are fully equipped to continue delivering on Governor Abbott’s mission to keep Texas a beacon of freedom and opportunity for generations.”
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick’s reelection campaign said it entered the new year with $33.5 million in its coffers.
Abbott, Patrick, Attorney General Ken Paxton and U.S. Sen. John Cornyn — all Republicans — will be among the statewide officials up for reelection in 2026.
