Jennifer Garner is grieving the loss of a dear friend, and her entire community as wildfires continue to wreak havoc across Los Angeles.
The 13 Going on 30 star spoke with MSNBC on Saturday (January 11) amid efforts to clean up and support her neighborhood, citing guilt that her home was still standing, and a strong desire to help those in need.
The beloved actress revealed that she lost a friend to the fires, but did not go into detail as it is still "really tender" for her church.
"I did lose a friend, and for our church it’s really tender, so I don’t feel like I should talk about her yet. Yeah, I did lose a friend who did not get out in time."
