Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney has revealed her father died last weekend as she posted a heartbreaking tribute to him on social media.
The 37-year-old TV personality said her dad, Rich Maloney, passed away on Sunday, January 5, leaving her "with a variety of emotions" including "numbness, peace, complete udder sadness and even at times guilt." In her post, Katie paid tribute to her late father and shared photos from a recent trip including a visit to Salt Lake City, Utah.
One of the photos shows her and Rich hugging in the snow, while in another black-and-white snap her dad smiles as they enjoy a meal at a restaurant. Sharing the sad news on Instagram, the Something About Her owner wrote, "I feel like I am a stranger to grief. As much as it has touched my life and so many I love. It's not something I have become comfortable or well acquainted with.

"This last Sunday my father passed away. Since I have been met with a variety of emotions, numbness, peace, complete udder sadness, and even at times guilt. My dad was everyone's favorite, he was so charming, made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. We shared the love of dad jokes and he had an endless supply."
She added her father was "always so supportive" of her and her siblings growing up, and he "championed" their endeavors as adults. Katie continued, "I cannot smell Irish spring without immediately thinking about him, how the scent almost covered up the smell of wheel grease from his job.
"It's a core memory that I have always held and hold closer now. Dad, I love you forever, thank you for the million laughs, for the father daughter dances throughout life and for the love you gave us. Love, your baby girl."
Katie was comforted by her family and friends in the comment section of her post with Ariana Madix, who co-starred with Katie on Vanderpump Rules and now co-owns the sandwich shop Something About Her with her, wrote, "I love you so so much." Brittany Cartwright, who also starred on the television series, commented, "I'm so sorry Katie. your Dad was always so kind! Sending you love."
Kristen Doute added, "I love that first photo of the two of you. so many memories. love you." Another person shared, "I'm so sorry for your loss, Katie. Your dad was awesome. He always rode the cheer bus with us and had to listen to our god awful singing for hours, for just about every away football game, my senior year. Thinking of you and Sending you all love and peace."
Earlier in the week, Katie's brother, Rocky Maloney, also paid tribute to his father on Instagram, calling him "such an amazing person, dad and friend." He wrote in his tribute, "He was such an amazing person, dad, and friend. Not the best jokes but I still love him for them and I will miss hearing them. He was at every football practice, every game either home or away.
"He was always there for me. Anyone who knew him knew he had an infectious personality, even though he seemed to complain about everything." Rocky, who works as a photographer, added, "Dad, I will think about you everyday. I will always look at my phone waiting for our daily phone call to talk sports."
