OCONOMOWOC — While it is still unknown what exactly will become of the restaurant space that was supposed to be 72 Waverly in the former Coco’s Seafood and Steakhouse location in downtown Oconomowoc, it should reopen as a restaurant in the future.
Co-owner Kari Whittaker said she and husband Todd are “making way for something new and have communicated to our staff that we will remain closed.”
Coco’s Executive Chef John Levine had planned to open 72 Waverly in January after the Whittakers announced they were closing Coco’s at the end of 2024. In early January, Levine said he may still open 72 Waverly, but not at 151 St. Paul St.
Whittaker said gift card purchases will be honored once reopened.
“We are excited about the new venture that is to come and will share more in the coming months,” she said.
