CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – The Cape Girardeau City Council will meet virtually on Monday, January 6 due to weather.

The agenda includes the first reading for a proposed youth baseball/softball complex.
According to the agenda, the project would include five baseball/softball fields adjacent to the Shawnee Park Sports Complex and two soccer/football fields at the intersection of Minnesota Avenue and College Street.
Penzel Construction Company, Inc. was recommended to be the general contractor for the project A proposed budget has been set at $4,500,000.
