Commanders running back Austin Ekeler has not played since Week 12 when he was diagnosed with a concussion. It was his second concussion of the season.
Coach Dan Quinn said Tuesday, via Ben Standig of TheAthletic.com, that Ekeler is “trending” the right way and a return is “absolutely possible.”
This is the final required week of Ekeler’s injured reserve stint, but Quinn offered no timeline for Ekeler.
Ekeler has two other known concussions in his eight-year career.
In 11 games this season, he has 355 rushing yards, 346 receiving yards, and four touchdowns.
